Terms and conditions
The photographs on this website are for reference only. Each cake is hand made and therefore will not be identical to previous cakes I have made. Most of the images are of 6” cakes. Please be aware if you order a larger cake it may not appear as “tall”. Most cakes are between 5” and 6” tall.
For bespoke cakes I require a 50% deposit to be paid at least 2 weeks before your date, This secures your date and covers the cost of any special equipment or ingredients. Your date is not booked until your deposit is paid, and I may take other bookings in the mean time. The deposit is non refundable if you cancel your order less than 7 days before your date, but I will offer you credit for a new date. Cancellations more than 7 days in advance will be refunded subject to a £5 fee. If I have to cancel for any reason your deposit will be refunded.
The balance of your payment is due on the day you collect your cake. If this balance has not been paid within 3 days after collection I will charge a late fee of £5 per day thereafter unless you have contacted me to discuss why your payment is late. I will issue a new invoice and any previous invoice is null and void.
Once your cake leaves my hands it is your responsibility. I will provide clear, written instructions on how to care for your cake and information about any non-edible elements. I am not liable for any damage to your cake after it leaves my hands.
I bake from my domestic kitchen and therefore cannot guarantee my bakes are free from allergens. This will be made clear when you order. If you have a life threatening allergy I would suggest you find a baker that doesn’t handle allergens in their kitchen. I will not be held liable for an allergic reaction if I was not made aware of the allergy.
For bakes that are posted, these will be sent by Royal Mail first class post unless you opt for another delivery method. This usually means delivery within 2 days of dispatch but delays can occur. If you need your order delivered by a certain date be sure to give me enough notice and/or choose tracked 24 delivery. While I endeavour to package my goods so as to prevent damage in transit this may occur. If your goods are damaged in transit please get in touch immediately and send photos so I can take this up with Royal Mail.
